  Taiwan      Taiwan, which spans an area of 36,000 square kilometers and is blessed with a rich natural environment and culture, is situated between mainland China and the Nansei Islands. The estimated 23.344 million people speak a variety of languages, including Mandarin, Taiwanese, Hakka, and indigenous ones.
